TV Soundbar Selection

I have a Panasonic TX-49FX550B 49in TV and I have tinnitis and poor hearing. I struggle to follow films on TV and am thinking of getting a sound bar. Unfortunately, all my HDMI connections are used up and the TV does not have bluetooth. Is a USB connection ok for TV soundbars, considering my need for crystal-clear sound? T
