Hi I'm putting a few tiles under the stove , it's a small Stanley stove

Is there a particular type of tile and cement to use? Thanks

@JimToken, I would recommend porcelain tiles for a base as they are much stronger then ceramic tiles. And for bonding whatever good bonding cement or tile adhesive you can find.
I am replacing my own stove at home... And so I put porcelain tiles (stove is 5kw weighs a heavy 65kg+/-) down on the old concrete brick hearth to clean it up.... 200 X 200 (mm). I'm also using a ready mix tile adhesive, just mix with some water and it'll be good to go.... The stove data sheet will state the dimensions for the hearth
