Guys just wondering if the leak in the photo could be the cause of the hesitancy I sometime feel in my 320d ? Also an identical leak on the other side of the intercooler as well from the other pipe. Also is the oil around there normal ?

Do these everyday of the week. What model 320 is it a f30 or what. The oil around the intercooler is common. It’s wouldn’t be a major concern unless it’s using large amount of oil. Have you taken off the intake pipe to the turbo is there much play in the shaft on the turbo.
And needing to have the turbo replaced wouldn’t be uncommon on that engine.
If you wana give a little more detail of the car as in the year and that il be able to help ya more. I’m dealing with this engine daily so I’d know my way around them

    Is an e90 08 n47 176k km.

No it's not using any oil. And no I haven't touched it yet. Just noticed it when changing the Xenons the other week. I'm having dpf issues as well so dunno what to be making of things. Will probably buy the rubber seals and attempted the job at some stage over the next few weeks.

We've another 320d with 80k km more than mine in the house as well and it drives much better though it has no dpf and I suspect it's remapped.

It could be back pressure due to the dpf being blocked. In saying that tho any of the bm,s that year that we’ve in there all oily like that. I wouldn’t be overly concerened with it. I’d be more concerned with the dpf issues

It's always being a bit funny and forever doing regens but since I had the EGR mapped out it's being worse. I am quite short of doing the inevitable at this stage with it.

Dunno if you can get the seals separate from the hose, I know for the passat it took a bit of digging to find them.
fairly handy and cheap job as a process of elimination.
Do you run dipetaine through it, might do something for it if it's bunged up. After running a tank or 2 through it and it does nothing for it, maybe have a look at a MAF cleaner spray.
    Just guessing.

Yeah the seals can be got separate according to real-oem. Nah don't put anything into it but I might give dipataine a go at some stage.

I haven't touched the MAF yet but the MAP (on the intake) was giving a quick clean a few months back. Reckon the whole intake needs cleaning tbh.

I don't think anyone was ever sorry they threw some dipetaine in, on my old petrol 1.8t it done a nice job cleaning the combustion chambers.
Think it's even more effective on daysul.
