I got a quote for a face lift 5008 a few days before the budget and when I spoke to the dealer again on Saturday they said the price has now gone up 3.5k to about 40k total. I tried to calculate myself what the increase would be when the budget came out but I figured it was only going up €180(23% to 23.5% vrt increase). Obviously I'm not understanding how this 3.5k increase is calculated so I asked for a detailed breakdown. They said they would get it over to me but I've seen no sign of it yet. They are very keen to get my order but they don't even have the facelift model in their quoting software yet, everything is being calculated off the base price of the previous model plus €1000 because supposedly that's how much extra the face lift is going to cost. I find it crazy they are willing to sell a car without even being able to provide a financial breakdown of the cost. I think I'm just going to have wait a few weeks until they have the everything sorted and make a decision then. It's annoying though because the longer I leave it the longer it's going to take for delivery, 3rd child due in early April.

Does anyone know how I can calculate this 3.5k increase myself? All I have to work with is the price list from the non face lift model, maybe there is some detail not provided here that I need to do the calculation? Model I'm interested in the 1.2 manual allure spec.

A feck that you could get yourself a lovely Renault Grand Scenic for that or even a nice Ford S-Max. I would try some other dealers if I were you. Yes the 5008 is a fine car but 3500 euro increase just like that is a rip off.

Yeah it's making me question getting one now but we have specific requirements of 7 seater petrol with 3 isofix in the 2nd row. Only others which match that are Citreon C4 Grand Picasso(Wife doesn't like it) or Seat Alhambra(Much more expensive and I don't like it).

Awe ok. Ye the Citroen is getting on a bit now anyway and so is the Seat.

Think you should talk to another dealer rather than look at another car as the 5008 is one of the best in that class. I’d be v reluctant to order without an exact pricing
