Looking at a car that failed nct on rust...

    It says....
    Item......bodywork (35)
    Description...secondary structure corrosion.
    Reason.....panels
    Location...nearside rear inner..
    Major not advisory...

So where is 35 located in bodywork..
And is secondary structure panels a big thing?
    Anyone know?? Thanks.

Secondary structure isn't as bad as primary structure which would be the chassis itself.

35 is the section of the nct manual containing bodywork.

Noone can tell you how bad rust is until they start digging into the area and removing all the bad steel to find the good steel to weld onto. Inner arch is generally the wheel arch in behind the spring and shock that would be part of sides if the car boot. It will probably now be easily identifiable by the big hole made by the nct mans screwdriver!
