Dashcam and mp4 files (resolved)

    My dashcam nextbase 112 produces .avi file and they won't upload to facebook now. I converted to .mp4 and .mov as fb says it prefers the, .mov would not even start, the.mp4 started then said "some problem were are working on it" or similar.


    Is there a dashcam which produces mp4?

    I sorted it out. I was forgetting to change the codec when converting to mp4, seemingly fb no longer takes avi

    AVI, MP4, MOV are types of containers for video recording.
    Type of codec used is totally different thing.

    Very likely facebook just doesn't support codec used by your dashcam, no matter whether it's AVI, MP4, MOV, etc...

    no it always accepted my dashcam video AVI before .
