I'm in the same area. I haven't noticed any increase. Garda helicopter usually around most nights, that's just the norm.

A few weeks ago i thought i heard the constant hum of a chopper hovering over west Dublin at night. Went on for about a week or more.

It’s very regularly over me now in north Dublin, any time of morning, day, night. They have two and a prop plane too...

Go on flight radar the next time you hear one and it'll be visible.

Even some of the RAF plane's can be seen whizzing around the UK

Garda ASU isn't visible on flightradar app, neither are any of the air corps helicopters. Coastguard helis are though.
