Boot issues

Hi All, I have a Lenovo Thinkcentre M72e which developed boot issues on Friday morning following a windows update.

The machine is powering up, the fan is spinning, but nothing is showing on the monitor. I get 2 beeps through the speaker and it powers off again. Does anyone have any ideas on what could be causing this and if it is something that I could fix myself?

I'd start by reseating the RAM, take out both sticks, connect the first into slot 1 and reattempt boot. Repeat this for the second stick if the same fault occurs.

Tried that, same issue. Tried both sticks in slot 1 but no joy.

Do you get the BIOS screen? Maybe try to reset the BIOS settings.

Do you have a built in graphics as well as an second GPU? If so, can you attempt to boot using the standing HDMI/DP/DVI port?

Thank you so much, this worked perfectly. I'm back in and typing this response from the affected machine. You my good person are a legend. I was having nightmares of having to replace the whole machine.
