Anyone have an opinion on this laptop? good or bad?

Acer Predator Helios 300 Gaming Laptop | PH315-53

Currently retailing on Acer's website for 1,799 euro

But I have a student beans discount for Acer of 15%, so it comes in at ~1,530 euro

Any other laptops I should consider at this price point 1,500?

decent but looks expensive

similar specs i.e. 2070 card, screen etc on Dell G5 (scratch and dent - just means returned new basically) for less than 1200 euro on dell outlet at the moment

Thanks for the heads up, I hadn't heard of Dell's Outlet shop before.

to be honest have not seen another deal like that - those specs for < 1200

some are saying that there are throttling issues but that is going to be the same for any gaming laptop depending on how hot it gets

worth the risk and if you experience any issues (would be present from the start) try undervolting the cpu (have to unlock for the 10750h cpu) and if that doesn't work just send it back

great price for the spec reallly
