Are HK Vision Boxes Noisy?

    Hi,

My parents have a SmartWatch box for their CCTV cameras, I find it incredibly noisy. The fan is constantly going so it is like having an old fridge going in the room. It is particularly noticeable if you sit there with no TV on etc to mask it.

I'm looking at getting one of the HK Vision sets for my house and I was wondering if the box is really noisy? I was thinking of putting the box in the office and don't want to be listening to it all day as I work.

    Thanks

The harddrives and or fans are the nosy part.

If you switched to SSD then you would remove the disk writing noise which can be loud. Fans can be cleaned out or swapped for larger less stressed kinds.

You will have noise off any box tbh. Mines in a closet in the hall sitting on a foam pad to prevent transmission into the wood below.

Thanks, I suppose I could also situate the box somewhere remote and either run a line to a TV or just view through an app.
