I have a Myson Velaire 50/70 with an Electro 10 oil burner. 32 years old and never any issues. I'll probably keep it as long as possible but is there anything easy/relatively cheap apart from normal servicing that I could be doing now to keep it going or to improve efficiency. Will spare parts become an issue if they aren't already an issue.

I read that the EOGB X400 burner is a direct replacement for the Electro 10 and can be bought online for 350 euros, would this (plus the cost of fitting obviously) be a worthwhile investment or pointless.

    Thanks
