International Folk Group

Goosius

Setting up a music group/band,
with a focus on exploring international folk music,
to jam and potentially play gigs with (if we survive the winter!).

Dublin based

From England e.g.
- Kirsty McColl
- The Incredible string band

From Scotland e.g.
- The Corries

From Ireland e.g.
- Chieftains
- Planxty
- Clancy Brothers

From Non-English speaking Countries
- I don't know much about this area of folk music, but I'd like to explore it,
and even sing some of the songs if someone in the group can do it,
with the proviso that most group songs would be in English,
so as to keep things engaging for audiences and English-language-only band members.

Looking for Who ?
- Anyone who digs this kind of music and can play an instrument or sing.

Original Songs ?
- Yes possibly, lets see how things go and if people want to get creative, then great.

Seriousness ?
- God only knows what's going to happen these days, so lets just aim to have a bit of craic playing together, learn some new songs, grow as musicians, see how things go, and if everyone feels like it --- put on a show at some point.
