UPVC Windows - what to go for?

Currently replacing back windows and installing French doors. I priced local and main contractors who all came in around the same price for double glazed UPVC. Two of whom advised against triple glazed due to similar U Value and excessive weight on the encasings.

Problem is that the third quotation, off a reputable Dublin based supplier came in over double the standard. Whilst the quality difference is noticeable, he enlightened me to the fact that most frames are not reinforced which leads to problems with the heavier triple glazing. He gave a great sales pitch however the price was ridiculously high. He also spoke about the quality of hinges and plastic used.

My problem now is to find something in the middle. Is it a fair assumption that the mass produced windows have a much shorter life, looking at 10-15 years whereas higher quality will last longer. Some companies offer a 15 year guarantee.

Is it possible to get reinforced, good quality frames at a more reasonable price. Any advice in the area would be greatly appreciated.

I'm aware that company names can't be mentioned on main thread
