Leaking tap with hissing sound

Hi, we had someone replace one of the knobs on the kitchen sink a while back, pretty soon after that there was a hissing sound from the tap and now there's a constant stream of water that can't be turned off.

Anyone know what might be causing this? We'll have to ring another plumber tomorrow because the guy who did the first job is now "too busy".

If the original plumber supplied the parts & it's less than a year then he should come back & rectify it free of charge. That is assuming that it's the part he replaced that is failing. Having said that, if he doesn't come back then there isn't much you can do about it.

He is a local plumber who did it as a favour, only charged 20 quid, one of the knobs had broke and he replacement both. Don't really think it's worth the hassle although I agree it's a shítty move on his part - lives literally 5 seconds down the road and I don't think it's a coincidence.
