Hi, just wondering has anyone recently use a car courier to bring a car in from UK to Ireland recently ?
Looking to bring a car from North Wales to Cork.
How much should I expect to pay ?
    It’s a mk1 mx5 that runs.
    Thanks in advance

I used eirtrans 3 months ago cost about 500, excellent service but can take about 7-10 days, well it did for me anyway.

North wales is close to holyhead, if time is of the essence get it delivered to the ferry port, book it in as freight, daily sailings and collect at dublin port.

Just a note the car has to be left at port 24 hours before sailing time (covid reason).

You could try shiply for quotes.

I have somebody bringing an Octavia over from Surrey to Dublin port. I've spoken to him on the phone and he sounds like a decent fellow. He drives to Holyhead and has it put on/off the boat (I don't know if your MX5 is road legal). I collect. I'm sure I could have got cheaper, but I needed it done quickly. I'm paying £500.

I can't vouch for the service because I don't have my car yet.

I'd say your man would put it on the Fishguard boat to Rosslare no problem.

I just want to follow up with a positive report of the fellow who delivered my car. His name is Gary O'Connor. He's based in the south east. You'll find reviews for him on Shiply. I found him great. He's fully insured and his communication was excellent throughout.

Anybody looking for his contact details, just PM me.
