Social housing : how much do they pay? how does it work?

Out of curiousity for social housing how much if anything do those pay? what way does it work? do they own the property in the future? in an area where av house price is 400k and there is new social housing with solar power. would love a free gaff but unfortunately tied down to a 30 year mortgage like most of others. or is…

system doesnt seem fair but hey thats life
