Running Win 10 (or earlier) on my Mac

Hey folks.

I have a Mac and want to run a version of Windows on it. Ideally win 10 but it can be win 7 also.

I do have virtual box I Slayer


Is Virtual box ok for running a windows vm ?

I obviously want to do this legally so I was wondering how I can get a win 10 installer or image ?

If I buy windows 10 off the Microsoft website , is the file that I will download ok to be used with virtual box or is there a better way to go about it ?

VirtualBox will work fine, but you won't get any of the slicker desktop integration you get with Parallels or VMWare Fusion. It's also not as optimised for things like 3D graphics as those commercial products are, so to some extent, the best solution will depend what you want to run in Windows once you've installed it.
