Stone chip and rust

Hi Folks,

What's the best way to stop stonechips showing rust. I'm not overly bothered about paint finish but would like to stop the multiple small rust spots getting worse and ideally not destroy too much.

I assume a level of sanding to bare metal and some product to stop rust and prime? Largest spot is about 2 ml so wondering how to approach without destroying to much finish.

You have pretty much answered your own question ! Get rid of any rust, prime and touch up with suitable paint. Watch out for new stone chip dressed roads and reduce speed to 25kph, it doesn’t guarantee no stone chips, but it will reduce them.

Thanks for the response,the broad strokes (forgive the pun) I know. But the specifics of how to approach, products to use am unsure.
