    Hi All,

Few queries regarding subbing as an SNA.

    Payscale:

First time subbing therefore what salary/rate would apply
Also does the the salary/rate increase, say for instance if someone did subbing on and off or continuously for 3 years

    Payment when not subbing:

If subbing on and off say every second week or so due to schools requirement, will there be payment made for the days when not required by the schools - If so how much will this be?

    Thanks..

SNA subs are paid at an hourly rate. €13.55 per hour currently I think.
The rate doesn't increase and you only get paid for hours worked.

    Thanks for the reply.

In terms of the second part of my query “payment when not subbing” due to no school requiring assistance.
Is there a standard payment made available similar to say job seekers allowance..

I don't know what the arrangements are when there's no work. I'd imagine that would depend on your personal circumstances. You wouldn't be paid by the school or DES though.

You could likely sign for casual dole.
