I know I'm definitely doing something wrong here.
I bought this amplifer as I have a very weak TV connection.
This unit has a cable that connects straight to the TV. I connected that to my smart tv but what do I do with my cable from the wall now?

This will replace the cable coming from the wall, this is an indoor aerial.

Thats not an amplifer, it is an indoor aerial by itself.

Take it back and get your aerial system fixed. Might even be the flylead from the wall.

No point in using an amplifier between the wall socket and the TV. Louder noise is no better than quiet noise.
