Use for old Horizon box?

I've moved to IPTV on a firestick the past few months and cancelled the virgin media subscription. They've told me to scrap the box. I'm curious- is there anything useful at all can be done with one as it is, or I there even any fun or use to be had in opening it up and salvaging anything within?
