    Hello,

I purchased a car from the uk and I collected it from the ferry port in Ireland..
Before I purchased the car I told the sales person that I needed the full log book and sales receipt etc. He said no problem everything would be in the glove box.

I got home and noticed that section 4 and 5 was missing but part 6 was attached to the remaining v5c.
    Part 5 referred to export.
The dvla website states that the seller should send part 5 to dvla with the buyers name and foreign address but the rest of the v5c should be given to the buyer, as they will need this to complete the registration process in the country that they are exporting too.

This is exactly what he did, but I'm wondering if any one with dealings in this area would know if the nct would accept my v5c minus part4 and 5 so I could complete the vrt process.
Thank you in advance for any advice.

You need the main v5C I was given a small slip probably like. You, I thought I was sound as I saw v5 on it and he assured me it was the process, I realized the mistake when I got home and emailed the the DVLA in swansea and got lucky as I arrived a week later in the post, I think I just got lucky I got the right person, I emailed the standard contact address, on average it can take 6 to 8 weeks. There's a thread somewhere else on this. Best of luck with it.

I'm guessing did you only receive new keeper slip.
the dealer attached this to the main page v5c which I have, another poster said this will be sufficient,.
I'm wondering did you also receive the main page or was it the keeper slip that you got.
    thank you.
