Myself and my partner will be going to our first viewings next week, are there any particular non-obvious questions we should be asking about the properties? Any general advice would also be much appreciated thanks

If the owners are there ask them about the neighbours. Who they are, family with kids etc.

You can usually get a good read on their response about what type of relationship they have with them.
