Looking for a cheap laptop that can run GTA V. (30fps on lowest settings)

Max Budget is 500, but the cheaper the better.

this is €370 and will run gta v about 40 fps at 720p low settings

Gtav is a well optimised game that runs well on low end hardware

decent cpu with ok integrated graphics (better than equivalent intel) on this amd cpu that allows the game to run, . Although won't have a lot of space left after installing gta v as it's a very big install and it's a 128gb ssd. it will fit but you won't have a lot of space left after. it's a 65gb install.

Screen is a bit dim but ok for inside use and this is budget level

Defo look at getting another 4gb ram for £15 on amazon (search 4gb ddr4 sodimm). That will make the ram dual channel which will make the game run better and it's a cheap no brainier upgrade for little money

but I'd also consider spending more and getting this to have a much nicer laptop overall that will be worth it over the years

metal build, bigger ssd, nicer screen, better cpu and graphics, better battery life

    worth going the extra mile

I was looking at that laptop prior to posting here. It has good reviews.

    Works out at €600

Might talk to the credit union manager and opt for this model

    thanks

that will run GTA V at 60fps at 720p low

if you're not stretching it too much it's definitely worth it - just much nicer to use day-to-day as well.

it's going for £50 cheaper here at £500 (same laptop just different branding)

    use parcel motel, addresspal etc

ssd is smaller at 256gb but that is still enough for your uses (but up to you on what size is best)

    never heard of honor magicbook.

I'd be inclined to go with the huawei one, but it's easy to be tempted by the next best laptop.

There always seems to be one with better specs just €50 more :)

I'm now looking at laptops far above the original spec.

Currently looking at acer nitro 5 for €700 from Currys

trying to convince myself to keep to the original plan and keep around €500.

    Huawei owns Honor

    Same company, same laptop exactly

    Just different branding.

They do the same with phones - Huawei and Honor branded phones

think of the laptop uses you actually want / need

do you want a gaming laptop that will run more games that just GTA V and don't need it to be portable (heavy and short battery life) - then maybe go for the Acer

if you need a more portable sleeker and better built (metal case) laptop then the honor / huawei

I’ve gone for the Acer Nitro 5 (€700) over the Huawei (€600), as the dedicated 1650 Gpu will allow me to do more with the laptop.

Thanks for your info and assistance Glasso! Much appreciated.
