Elderly parent monitoring

Does anyone have good solutions? We have a watch bought from the UK with a fall monitor and app which notifies a couple of members of the family when my parent falls. However, it isn't great and it requires a sim but the reception is pretty bad on the watch.

    Any tips would be great.

Cameras would be useful but at the same time, you don't want to be installing cameras in your parent's bathroom and bedroom in case they fall in the shower or something.
