A need to cut costs and frustration with Sky’s prices not matching their content or service means we’re cancelling Sky.

We have Sky+ and an external dish. We have a Samsung tv UE50TU7100KXXU which includes a tuner https://powercity.ie/product/50TU710

We don’t necessarily need to record so am hoping we can get away without a box. We would opt U.K. over Irish channels if a choice needs to be made.

What do we need? Changing the LTB? A new dish?

That tv doesn't appear to have a satellite tuner just terrestrial, so to get UK tv you would need a box. Check the back of the TV, for satellite it would have a screw on type connection.

Alternatively you could use your TV for IPTV streaming if you have good internet connection.
You can get the more popular UK TV channels via IPTV.

Adding a zgemma h7s will give you twin sat tuners and a saorview tuner and can have internal hdd which can also give you recording extras and recording on a saorview tuner on box you can view another on tv.

Best advice I can give you is to tell them you are emigrating to Australia when you ring to cancel.

Otherwise it is just a tortuous amount of offering on their side to try to keep you in. Pain in the ***.
