Honda CRV power steering issue

07-10-2020 2:39pm#1I have a 142 Honda CRV 1.6 diesel for about 18 months now which hasn't missed a beat
About a month ago I was driving when the power steering failed for a split second. To be honest I was after a very long journey, nearly home and swore it was just my imagination.
Late last week the same thing happened for definite this time. The power steering light flashed on and I had no power steering. Again, a matter of a second. Happened one more on the same journey. Split second, no power steering and off again. Took it handy getting it home and haven't used it since other than getting it to the local indy.
He checked it out and found nothing and he also checked for errors and nothing showed. He advised a main dealer which is my next step and that they might see an error his system wont.
Just putting the feelers out. Anyone experience this before? Anyone ideas what could be the cause? Main dealer means big bucks either way I assume

Ive never seen it on a CRV before. If youre in Dublin I could plug it in for you with the standard boardsie discount

Cheers Hellrazor but I couldn't be further from Dublin. She's booked in to main dealer for the start of next week. We'll see if they can figure it out. It hasn't missed a beat so far and I was coming from an accord that also gave trouble free motoring for years. Hopefully this is something small and my grá for Honda won't be spoilt!0 -
