I was just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a comfortable shoe in the style of Oxford or Derby? I've been buying them on the cheap from River Island/Topman over the years and I'm starting to feel them now.

It would go with a suit so needs to be sense of style about them if possible.

    Are Ecco any good?

I have a pair of Rockport boots, similar to the below but with a flat sole.

    https://www.rockport.com/rockport/mens-sharp-and-ready-chukka-boot/ML02337.html?dwvar_ML02337_color=SADDLE%20BROWN&cgid=mens-footwear-boots-all-mens-boots#start=1

Really comfortable and i was wearing them everyday when going to the office before lockdown. Paid about €130 for them and would 100% buy another pair. For years i bought cheap and had to replace in 12 months, never again.

Awesome, I'll have a look through the website and see if there are styles I like.

Can I ask are these sold locally in Dublin anywhere?

I got my pair in Cripps in Terenure, they mainly specialise in kids footwear (which is why i happened to be in it) but also stock a limited line of adult shoes. All top quality from what i can see.

    Rockport or Timberland

Sometimes you get decent deals on M and M direct.

    But also check out timberland.ie

I picked up two pairs for about €60 each on timberland.ie last week. I'm on my feet a lot and I think at this stage every pair of shoes I have except a formal pair is timberland
