Has anyone bought here or looking into it? Small development with only 46 houses. Seems to be a lot of new estates being built around the same area. I'm considering purchasing one of the 4 bed detached houses here but would appreciate any tips/advice.

We had reserved a house but dropped out. Seems to be huge delays in getting the houses built, even before Covid. The one we were meant to be in by spring/ summer still isn't finished. They are lovely houses and it's such a nice small estate but be wary of completion dates etc.

They seem big money but I guess it reflects the smaller estate size (not aware of any phase 2?). Great location.

Anyone considering buying new from Kingscroft Developments (part of Abbey PLC) should be very careful. It has a record of not completing housing developments, even post economic bust. For example, in February 2015 Kingscroft brought 39 units in The Paddocks, Lucan to market. Six years later in February 2021 Kingscroft STILL has not completed works to the standard required for taking in charge by South Dublin County Council. As a result, among other issues, street lighting has not been switched on and the development is shrouded in darkness at night.

Advert confirming 2015 launch of houses:

Letter from SDCC to local councillor confirming that Kingscroft has still not completed remedial works six years later:
