    Hi,
    I just upgraded from a Samsung A5 to a Poco X3.
I am pretty thick so bear with me. I took my eir sim card out of my A5 and put it in the Poco and followed all the on screen instructions and even some bluetooth option to copy a load of stuff over from my old phone to new.
All looked ok - except that it only copied over about 20% of my contacts and none of my previous text messages. So wondering can I get them over at all?

Also, I find when typing on it the home button is very near the space bar so I fat finger a lot and then go back to the home screen when I am typing. Anything I can do for this?

    Thanks so much

There's an app called SMS backup and restore that you might take a look at, should help out

Ok so for contacts, i used the Google Contacts app, exported all contacts on the phone to a VCF file into google drive and then pulled it into you phone.

Next up the fat finger and text message problem

Ok that worked thanks. I uploaded the messages to a google drive and then restored from that on other phone.

    Thanks

Have one of these 2 weeks and up to now it has been really fast charging but I've noticed since this morning that it's taking an age to charge.
Has this happened to anyone else?

I believe Miui only allows fast charging at temperatures under 40°C so use an app like CPU-Z to check the temperature while it's charging. If it's consistently over that temperature you likely either have a rogue app behave badly and/or a faulty charger/cable.

Can you not just back up your files, contacts etc to your Google account on the old phone and sign in on the new phone and sync? Job done.
SMS backup and restore for SMS messages.

Did this exact set up recently works perfect. Never allow your apps to copy over always install fresh.

Super phone. Why did they give the power button/fingerprint scanner button such a sharp edge. The only disappointment so far with this device.
