    Hi, had a friend taking a picture of the night sky and this is what was in the picture afterwards. She didn't see anything when she was taking the photo. What could it be?

    Could be to do with the settings on the camera at the time she took the image. Nowadays that can be true of mobile phones aswell as DSLR's. I took a photo not too dissimilar to this of Mars only last week and because I had the settings/values incorrect it resulted in a streak like effect like we are seeing here.
