    I think they have been this price for a few weeks now in advance of the new Nest Audio which can be now preordered on the google store for 98 EUR. Twice the price but apparently the sound and bass is much better so I decided to treat myself to it instead.
    €49 for a Google Home still seems like a serious bargain though.

    For 98 euro you could have a stereo pair set up.

    Here is a link to a YouTube comparison. Reviewer says newer Google nest has a lot fuller sound but not 50% louder as quoted by Google.
