Hyundai i30 TPMS sensor - dealer only?

    I have a new to me car, an I30 tourer, and 1 of the wheels has no sensor, if I get a new sensor , genuine online, is it dealer only to pair to the car?

    Its a 2015 model if that makes any difference, thanks
    (TPMS light is on constant on dash)

    I dont think they need to be coded? They are cheap enough from a dealer, around €60 or so iirc.

    Great, I have one ordered, so just put it on and it should tie up to the onboard sensor?

    Is that a Korean thing? I have never seen a sensor that didn't need to be programmed to the car

    We bought a fleet of these so don’t listen to any one we had to buy the machine afterwards because they did need to be coded so yes they need coding

    We've definitely fitted these to Mk2 i30's before and it will self learn on a road test.

    The light flashes after startup and this is your opportunity to start driving for self learning. When the light goes from flashing to solid it's just indicating a fault and you will need to cycle the ignition and drive immediately to go back to self learning iirc.
