A few questions for spider experts

Hi all first I'm looking for ID on this spider I found last night - I'd say it's just a big house spider but thought there's a possibility it's a giant house spider? Leg span of 3" or so which is pretty big in my experience for regular house spider. Link here https://ibb.co/NKSYB1G.

My other question involves spiders I found gardening recently. They're smaller than house spiders but seem more aggressive, and I think they're the cause of the 3 big bites on my knee that are still visible after nearly 3 weeks. I think they may be some type of lace weaver, does anyone know if they're common here? They're in my parents garden in north Dublin, loads of them. Larger abdomen than house spider, nearly all black but with feint brown chevrons on their back. Definitely not false widows.

If anyone can help I'd really appreciate it, I can try and get a few photos of the second species if it might help. Thanks!
