Argos have the Samsung a80 128gb for €351.
Is this a good price for this phone?
Tried checking the mobile carriers but couldn't find it on any of their sites.
    Thanks

Yes it is a very good price for this phone. I would however personally choose the Poco X3 over it, but that's personal preference. :)

It's for a teenager, they would either like a Samsung or iPhone 8.
Am hoping he will stick with Android as I hate the iPhones.
I think it's a no brainer between a new Samsung or a couple of year old iPhone, but what do I know :-)

Tell the teenager that the Poco X3 has a much larger battery, a much better screen, much faster charging and a better camera and he'll also save their parent (?) some money in the process. :)

Will looks like I lost this round, he wants an IPhone. Have a reservation for the above phone in Argos dundrum if anyone wants it. Silver colour. :-(

You're the parent. You tell him he gets regardless of what he wants. Teenagers break things and it's a lot cheaper to break and fix/replace an android phone than an iPhone.

Not necessarily. And iPhone 7/8/SE are far cheaper to repair than a Samsung flagship phone. Lcd v Oled.
To the OP, just get him the new SE. Not to expensive and cheap to fix if he breaks it.
