    Hey,

Does anyone know where one could find some old computer equipment (like early 2000's late 90's) around cork like keyboards, mice, monitors etc.. the older the better.

I have tried the pawn shop on McCurtain street and some of the charity shops in town but no luck

    Thanks :):):)

Honestly there's very little choice in Cork city for that sort of stuff. Ebay or Done Deal is your best bet.

Try the junk shop on Pope's Quay.
All sorts of stuff buried in there.

Does it need to be functioning? PC peripherals specifically?

Which place is this, "A to Z Shop"? Never actually looked inside there...

I have 2 Dell CRT monitors, in perfect working order (well, they were the last time I used them). You are free to take them.

I've walked past a place there opposite-ish River Lee Hotel (Jurys) a few times but it's closed early in morning..

    it's called Records and Relics...

just did a search and they have a FB page : https://www.facebook.com/RecordsandRelics/

My house - except I'm still using it! :D

If you're looking for something specific, you could try putting out an appeal on facebook, or here even. People have all sorts of stuff lying around that they never disposed of or never hooked up following a move.

    I’m intrigued. What’s the project?

I know people who have pulled perfectly functioning equipment out of bring centers, might be an option. Just ask sometime there if it's OK.

I have an actual old computer that I'm trying to get rid of (free). Think it's pentium 2 or something. I'm in the togher area.

Just need to check it and make sure there's no Brazilian fart porn leftover on the hard drive. But you're welcome to take it.

(Joking about the fart porn, it's an old work computer)

    No peripherals tho.

Also it's black. I'm guessing you're looking for the awful white / yellowish smoke stained equipment?
