Catalytic converter thief buying a hybrid

Hi guys

Sorry if this has been asked before but hoping to get a new car before Christmas and I like some of the hybrid models but would you buy a hybrid with all the catalytic converter thief’s. The car will be parked in a secure underground car parking most evenings but there will also be a fair bit of on street parking as well.

What model are you buying?

Some of the newer models have the catalytic converter in the engine bay making it harder to steal.

Just buy an electric car. Then you will not have to worry about that.

You are aware how different it is to live with an electric car than a hybrid?
You expect someone to just buy an electric vehicle to prevent a cat theft?

Hybrid cats are targeted as they are cleaner than ICE cats and are worth more. Theft is a real problem now and Toyota are top of the list with so many Hybrids. They do offer a Catlock on certain models.

On another note the CT200 is a woeful car, you can do much better.
