WiFi in shed

Hi I have a shed out the back that i would like to have a fast network in. I’ve used power line adapters for a couple of years which worked perfectly but for some reason the last few months I’ve been getting between 5mb and 20mb. I’ve now ran an Ethernet out to the shed and am wondering what will give me the strongest WiFi signal there now. I know I need a wireless access point but can a repeater or an extender do the same trick if I plug my Ethernet directly into it?

Any info would be appreciated thanks
