Exemption from planning pre 1963 building

I’ve asked about planning on another thread before but can anyone advise if a building is pre 1963 it is exempt from planning as we just want to have a small workshop there to rent out. No public access just renting to a craft worker.

i would be more worried about insurance and taxes in case it cancels your insurance policy

Only for its current use I think.
The op wants to convert an outhouse into a workshop and rent it out.
It may also need a fire cert and disabled access cert.
