    Hi,

Was changing lug nuts on my car and took pics of each of my brake pads. Am i right in saying that pic 3 (rear passenger side) needs new pads ASAP. And is it unusual that rear drivers side has plenty of pad?

This one needs changing asap, very odd, are you sure both sides were replaced at the same time...

Thanks dude, I have the car less than a year so don;t know history with pads.

I guess I'll get both rear ones done anyway, even though there is plenty left on the other side?

Yes, get both done. But I would hazard a guess and say that the side that is excessively worn has some other issue, something stuck causing it to wear much more.

Good idea to replace discs too with that grove on one face. Strange that the disc face is perfectly smooth. Usually ud get chatter marks or grooves or rust on the disc face where the pad isnt making contact. Id guess someone over greases the sliders causing them to push the caliper inboard resulting in one pad pressing on the disc.

Surely it's the opposite, lack of grease (possibly seized) leading to the caliper not sliding freely and so one side doing all the work.
