Been thinking, whatever I have in the shed is probably good enough, that buying something new wouldn't be required. :-)

Haha I get you. I have a shed full of stuff too. I've been using the soft 99 you linked for the last year on my mx5.. it's "ceramic". Kind of an off white colour. Find Soft 99 excellent.

I used to use autoglym hd. Wax every month for what it's worth

I've a silver passat now, and saw this stuff online.

I still have some collinite 845 in the shed, and some meguiars tech wax 2.0 that hasn't seen the light of day in years. :o

I've been using the Meguiars hybrid ceramic wax, which is super easy to use, but was wondering if i'd get better results from a different wax, with the spray stuff on top?

If I was using a combo of what you have it would be 845 topped with megs hybrid spray.

My new go to product is Sonax PNS topped with Sonax BSD,
fantastic combo. My son used it on a silver car recently and was hugely impressed with it.

I decided that, in all likelyhood, a spray on is about the level of time and effort i'm willing to put in right now.

While no one was at home, I gave it a little clean.

That's a snow foam, hand wash, rinse, polished a few small scratches, and some hybrid ceramic wax.

Thanks, I was looking for a 2L 150 HP Octavia for ages. These weren't really on my radar, but I spotted it in a local garage online.

GT spec 190 hp, same insurance as my focus daysul. :D

Nice, my superb has the same engine, plenty of torque.

Was wondering a similar question myself, how would Meguires Hybrid worK over Super Resin Polish and Extra Gloss Protection?

SRP has a short lifespan ( low durability )
so no matter what you put over it will only last as long as SRP.

I would strip it all off and apply the Megs to bare paint for best results.

That’s how I’ve been using alright but was planning on using SRP to fill light swirl marks, can’t justify the cost of getting paint correction done right now.

You might be better off getting a filler wax/sealant?

    Scratch clear.

So this is an all in one? I’ve always used SRP + EGP combo over the years with good results.

    Yes.

Might give it a go, seems to be a lot less effort than SRP - EGP.
