enigma2 - power timers and screensaver conflict

    Hi all,

I have an Edision OS mega running Openvix, but maybe this is a generic question for any Enigma2 receiver.

When I got an OLED TV some time ago I set up a blank screensaver for 70 mins out of paranoia about screen burn. That works perfectly.

Recently I started thinking I really should use power timers to shut the Edision down at night and maybe start it in the afternoon, or leave it down until manually powered on.

I tested this a few minutes ahead and it worked as expected but then I set up the timer and it failed. In the morning the screen is blank and when hit enter I see the message "a finished timer wants to power down your box, yes/no".

It seems that if the screensaver is active then the power timer cannot execute. If the screensaver has not activated then the timer does a shutdown. Has anyone experienced this? I could indeed extend the screensaver time so that it didn't trigger before the power timer, but I like keeping that screensaver period short.

    Ix.
