Hi All, I’m thinking of buying a 2015 4x4 Duster 40000 miles but most Dusters seem to have 2 or 3 previous owners is that a lot?
Or would a 2013 Qashqai 110000 miles with 4x4 system be a better option.

Both cars have same money on them. €10000

Anything else recommended? a 4x4 or AWD system is needed for winter driving in the hills.

    TIA

Neither have proper 4wd systems, a good set of winter tyres on a 2wd car would run rings around a 4wd qashqai on summer tyres

I think they both use the same Nissan/Renault 4WD system (with 2wd/Auto/Lock settings).

I had that in my previous model generation X-trail and found it to be excellent for mostly road use.

I currently have a 2015 Duster as my daily. No problems with it. It's boring (I have my other cars for excitement), but it's cheap to run, service, etc.

The number of previous owners for me, doesn't matter. It's the service history etc.

    Is a 2015 duster or a 2013 Qashqai really 10k?
Eithet way, I wouldn't think either would be great for winter ice and snow for hills just because they are suv style.

He’s hardly talking about a feather duster for driving up hills.

Safe to say it’s a Dacia.

    Why ever not?
Both have a 4WD system where you can lock the center diff. That'll get you up any hill that isn't pure black ice.

As always, proper winter tyres will make it even better.

The real problem will be finding a good one of either car.
I was looking at them before and the 4WD versions of either are few and far between and then you have to avoid those that have been used enthusiastically for field work.

Suzuki SX4 and Vitara are other potential candidates (with the same issues)
