Question about Stamp 4 renewal and possible confusion

    Hi,
I understand that this question might seem absurd.
I had several "bad experiences" while renewing my Stamps across the last few years.
I recently submitted 2 applications, a renewal of Stamp 4 for myself and a renewal of Stamp 1G for my wife.

But, on my application I ended up adding my wife's passport and marriage certificate (all the other required documents where added as well).
Because, for some reason (might be just stress) I was thinking that I needed to put the marriage certificate and a picture of her passport as some sort of "proof" that she is married to me.

I also put those documents on her application.

My concern is that, the INIS will get confused by me having her documents on my application and misunderstand my Stamp 4 as someone who is married to an european.

Sorry to ask, did anyone also submitted the documents that way, did you have a problem?

I don't think you have anything to worry about. As long as you have submitted all of the required documents your stamp renewal should be processed as normal. They will likely see the additional documents simply as extra pieces of information submitted.

They will not see a marriage certificate, get confused and process you as EU treaty rights. Especially if your wife is non-EEA, which I assume she is if she has Stamp 1G. This will also be obvious from the copy of her passport you submitted.
