    Hi all,

i recently purchased a 535d F10 2011 with the adaptive xenons, but the passenger side headlight has a small crack on the cover, and has moisture buildup inside because of it.

I was wondering if anyone knows if its possible to fix this, as the light itself works perfectly and I'm afraid to even check how much a new one would cost. Somewhere around the limerick/munster area ideally..

Seems as if its possible although it looked involved (cutting the existing lens out). No idea what other additional bits and pieces are in the headlight itself for the adaptive elements.

Is it possible to seal the crack with tape or a silicon sealant? If so then you might want to dry out the inside first to get rid of the moisture.

A brand new adaptive headlight will be a few grand at least and even a second hand one will be hard to find and not cheap. But if you want the name of a good BMW guy in Limerick city who might be able to source a used one for you then drop me a PM and I'll give you his contact details. He eventually managed to source a second hand harman/kardon loud speaker amp for my F10 recently enough after mine blew. He coded it also.

Thanks for the info but mine is only a tiny crack about 1.5 inches long, I was hoping someone had similar and just got it repaired/glued, if thats even a thing.

Cutting the whole cover out sounds like a lot of hassle and might not be water tight all around after it. The problem is the moisture getting inside, and ive heard that's a fail on the nct? The actual crack itself is hard to see..

EDIT: Thanks Bazz, just pm'ed you there..
