    Hiya,

I haven't built a PC in many years but would like to build a complete gaming system incl monitor / mouse / keyboard to a decent spec ideally around 1500 + VAT? Would appreciate assistance getting started?

If you can wait a month or so do as there are a load of new processors and graphics cards launching. Have you thought about what screen size or resolution you want to target and what games you want to play. Helps with pointing you in the right direction.

Many thanks - thinking 24inch monitor would like to play flight Sim and basically newer pc games?

At 24" you'd still be at 1080P. Homelander linked this PC in another thread and it's very good value, just needs a couple of tweaks like a larger SSD. You might want to push the GPU to a 2060 if you're playing MSFS2020. Alternatively take the 1660 Super, see how you get on and try to bag a secondhand bargain from a seller with good feedback on adverts.
