    As above,

I have disconnected the battery for a while and it still appears as soon as the car checks itself.

Any other options or things to check to fix the issue?

    Thanks

If it's a 3 door check the connections under the seat haven't been loosened.

I understand that, but I am checking if there is anything I can do to rule out a few things before I go down that route.

Most likely is the passenger airbag deactivation switch. Use the switch and see does the passenger airbag off warning come on the centre console. If it does't, the swtich is faulty. They aren't too expensive. Around €50.

If it's not that, see can you beep the horn or if the buttons on the steering wheel work. If they don't it's likely the steering column control unit. Would be €2-300

After that, if it isn't an obvious wiring fault, it's probably going to be expensive :pac:

There's also a somewhat unspoken 5 years goodwill cover on airbag equipment with VW products on cars with a main dealer history. So if you book it in, agree to potential diagnostic fee, then request a goodwill check, i would expect it to be covered.

Well none of the buttons work and the horn doesn’t either.

Bloody car doesn’t even have 30k Km/s on it.

I’ll tell her to book it into seat and let them look.

Sounds like that's what it is so. That control unit isn't specific airbag equipment though as it's just a control for multiples of things so i wouldn't think you'll be guarenteed cover on that item. That said, you're low mileage and i expect less than 12 months outside manufacturers warranty so i'd still be looking for something.

The car barely gets driven 6km a day hopefully it’s not too expensive.

    Thanks for the input :-)
