Arranging broadband for elderly parents

I want to sort broadband access for my parents.
I was hoping to get a cheap and cheerful broadband and landline package. They are currently with Eir for landline and I thought the year long deal of 29.99 per month for 100Mps would suit them but cant seem to get access to that online.

Which is the best route to take - try and contact them online or go into one of their stores and try to arrange it there??

Step One: Find someone other than Eir.

I've always found Eir OK to be honest. Never had a problem with them.
From talking to lads at work there can be issues regardless of who you go with.
I think I will take my chances with Eir

Are there any special concessions for pensioners for supplying broadband?

Eir are by far the worst of the lot, avoid at all cost or you will regret it.

Pure Telecom are doing a deal for €25 * 12 months with unlimited broadband and unlimited landline to landline calls.
It goes up to €45 after that and the contract is 18 months, so average price for the term is €31.66
