    I bought a Fritzbox 7530 to replace the terrible F2000 from Eir. Received it today and thought I’d be up and running within minutes, here I am 3 hours later using my mobile as a hotspot because nothing is working.
    When I log into the modem there is no connection found. I have FTTH but there is no sign of it on this modem.
    I click on ‘internet’ and ‘account information’ and I am presented with a few options and none of them work.
    Connection to a DSL line does not work because it is FTTH I have.
    I have tried both ‘connecting to a cable modem’ and ‘connection to an external router or connection’.

    Ive tried calling it Eir and put in admin as username and a password, everything fails.

    On the modem the DSL and power light is on.
    On the wall the power and PON light is green.

    I’m all out of ideas.

    got it working eventually, it only worked once I applied these settings:

    username:eir@eir.net
    password:broadband1
    Vlan = enabled
    VlanID = 10

    I had my own self built router (running IPFire) set up just fine with Eir FTTH before we moved. For me it was simply a case of tagging the WAN port with a VLAN ID of 10, setting the WAN connection method to DHCP, and it connected up to Eir's network no problem getting a public IP instantly.

    You seem to be using PPPoE on the WAN port (given the username & password). Does the Fritz Box router you have let you use DHCP on the WAN port with the VLAN ID of 10?
