    Hi

    Just looking for some advice

I lodged a case against dell for a tpm fault with a laptop that the warranty expired mid 2018
The case was accepted by the scc and the details sent to dell products 70 sir john rogerson's quay
The scc gave dell 28 days and they didn't receive a response after this I went to the scc office and swore an affidavit again 28 days past and the scc have given me a Grant Judgment Order and told me I can send this to the sheriff

Has anyone ever dealt with dell through the scc and had this or dealt with anyone and got a judgement order

What happens next and does the sheriff do anything with this

Sheriff can potentially rock up and seize goods. I was on the receiving end once as a retail manager. A cheque was issued pretty quickly once he arrived!

Went to the sheriff paid the 9.50 and sent a copy of the receipt to dell
A few hours later I had a call and dell and they wanted to settle called the sheriff and explained and the way it works is that they must now deal with the sheriff
So they are paying the sheriff and they will send me on my settlement + 9.50
All in all a good result

Thanks for updating the thread - it's useful for people to know if it's worth engaging the sheriff or not.
